World AMA Flyweight Gold medalist will turn pro along with his twin.

The Arroyo Twins made Their Descicion

The brothers McWilliams Arroyo McJoe Arroyo have virtually end their steps in amateur boxing.

Although not yet affixed his signature to a professional contract, the pair of brothers is making the mental leap to become professionals in the coming months, which would upset the plans to represent Puerto Rico in the Central American and Caribbean games at Mayaguez in 2010.

"I understand that I have already given a lot to my country. It is time to take a new path and a new challenge for me, "McWilliams said Arroyo.

"I turn 24 in December. The time to take the leap into professionalism is now. If I do not do it and I stay what will in do in the future? How will I live when they run out the Olympics (2012)? "He said. "Central to the decision is because I am ready for the new challenge of becoming world champion, but as a professional.

Arroyo said they have heard several offers and, in turn, have remained trained and ready to debut as a professional in two or three months.

I read somewhere these cats make more than 4k a month just to train. Few prospects get paid that type of money comin up in the pros. So why turn pro?

Because McWilliams, already won a gold medal and he is 24. And the looks of how he fights he can do good as a pro.

And guess who is trying to sign him along with his brother?

        Arum?

If he's 24, then it's a good move cuz waiting 2 years until he's 26 is overdoing it if he wants to get some solid exp. as a pro instead of being moved at Gamboa speed.

Him nd his twin are very good, but the guy that won silver at LW,its better fit for the pros, Jose Pedraza!!

If they're good, Top Rank can make them into a star without much problem.

Lopez went from beating journeymen on ppv undercards and Oquendo in PR to fighting for a title and getting a huge name.
