I usually wouldn't...however, i think that if he wanted to lie he would have taken a stab at it first, i feel he talked because miguel dissed him. He kept quiet at first, if he wanted to lie he had many oportunities. Then Phil being so "informative" is what really got me worried.

Sparring is sparring. The best fighters in the world (Leonard, Floyd, Hagler, etc) have all had their share of tough sparring match ups. Leonard and Pryor were known to have wars in sparring with Pryor getting the best of him more than the media will make mention of. If Cotto's punch output is going up consistently, it could only help him in a high pace fight which he isn't a stranger to.

Wow. The punch output stat is something I REALLY like to hear. Love how they're emphasizing workrate as something they have to work on.

This is the first time that I heard about a new specific tactic of the new team that I am impressed with.

Agree, wich tells us, that Cotto was lcking traning before, in his ighst with Clottey Mosley,ect,ect. because in his days at 140, he average like 70 pinches per round!

I'm a huge Cotto fan. With that said, I must confess that I am worried by Phil's comments about Cotto's punching output.

1) This is the first time I remember the Cotto camp so openly talking about sparing, this time even with numbers and comparisons

2) I can only wonder if this is in response to El Gato's interview yesterday published on another site where he is quoted as saying that he was let go from camp due to "trowing too many punches in all angles... I was trowing many more punches than Miguel".

One has to wonder... WTF is going on...

Hope Cotto is training well cause he is gonna need the stamina in the late rounds to win this fight.

I'm trying to think of the last time I was this excited about a fight. I find myself shadowboxing as if I were gonna fight. Cotto looks great and Pacman always looks great. I guess one of the great parts of being a boxing fan is not the fight, but the anticipation of the fight.
