Haye losing to Valuev would be bad news for boxing

Speaking as a Brit, there's been plenty of build up for the fight and a lot of casual fans will be tuned in a week Saturday... and with British boxing at a low, this fight could be key for attracting new fans and even keeping current fans interested

Honestly does anyone want to see Valuev frustrate Haye to a boring decision?

If Haye wins, The UK has somebody to back... and the Heavyweight division has something interesting to talk about for a change, however long it lasts

If Valuev wins, things stay as they were...

Haye might not be anything special, but his presence alone is bringing interest to the sport from this side of the pond.

I doubt Haye will lose. Only if he lets himself be maneuvred around by Valuev and if he can't escape his Yeti hugs, then he will likely lose. But with Haye's power, even one big punch is enough to turn the fight to his advantage. Valuev has never really fought anyone with that kind of power.

      I agree.

A lot of people don't like Haye because of his mouth and what they feel is an undeserved title shot, but he adds an interesting and dynamic element to the division.

I'd rather have him than Valuev.

Yea it would. Haye needs to be KO'd, but Val needs to be dethroned first.

He will be koed in time. By Dr.Steelhammer. But first he needs to get Valuev out of boxing once and for all.

HW division would be so much more exciting if Haye can beat Valuev then give the Klitschko's close fights, because the Klits are just dominating their opponents too easily at the moment.

this would be both bad and good.

1 - haye aint **** compared with either of the title holding bros.

2 - valuev is managed by don "******* of boxing" king

3 - haye would run his mouth even more. and, most neutral intelligent fight fans dont like that too much - if u want dramatic interviews, watch wwe.

4 - neither haye nor valuev have been wanting to fight a klitschko, no matter if they say they would.

so, this match is a stalemate boxing-wise.

if the giant wins, that doesnt mean he will then fight a K bro. if haye wins, that also doesnt mean that he will fight a k bro. it doesnt really matter.

personally, i think valuev vs a k bro might be a more interesting fight for real fans, while haye vs a k bro might be more interesting for wwe-style fans.

edit: btw, i dont know why people think of haye as a major contender. doesnt he have to prove something? and, right now, i am doubting that haye dispatches of the giant so quickly as the third round.

remember, every vitali opponent says the same damn thing, but nobody yet has even put him down let alone made him look vulnerable. it is a different thing to be in the ring against a fully resisting opponent than it is to talk about fighting one.
