he dident look as bad as everyone is claiming he looked like he dident want to be so aggressive early on the fight he needs 2 more tune up fights before anything good just to get him comfortable whha'ts up with the floyd style?... he did alright considering the lay off have to see more before i can decide how he will do against top opposition the guy he fought was at light heavyweight lol big ass mo****er.

he needs to move his head more when he was moving it he did good doing floyd style was new to see had his chin tucked in he dident want to win by ko you could tell he was just trying to burn the rounds and get some rust off hes not as bad as everyone is making it out to seem. -
Originally posted by Runw/knivesI still feel though,
he needs a more "stern" test. If he fought the way he did tonight against Tito...forget it dude. He could not just stand there and try and make Tito miss. That would not work. He would have to fight exactly like he did in the early rounds...where he was moving around Joval and tagging him with the jab.
I agree Im a Vargas fan but he was getting hit to much and them Hoes on TV were pissing me off it looked like some ****ing Jay-Z video, that **** was ******, I like Vargas's new style thought was cool to watch him try it. He should really stay old style Vargas though with some head movement and circling like when he fought Ike Quartey "In the beginning rounds before it turned into a war".Comment

Definetly needs some time to shake up the ring rust. He had Joval hurt a couple of times and didnt try/do a good job of finishing. If he can make 154 he can make bigger waves there instead of 160Comment

Dude, I understand what your saying but what Im saying has nothing to do with that. Ive said a hundred times that it's not just about this fight. He looked the same way before he left and the time off actually helped him. Im telling you if this guy keeps fighting he will be hurt. I thought he sounded a littile slurred in his post fight interview. I think Javier could probally beat him if he has anything left. If I had to bet, I would go with JavierOriginally posted by VkreWhe dident look as bad as everyone is claiming he looked like he dident want to be so aggressive early on the fight he needs 2 more tune up fights before anything good just to get him comfortable whha'ts up with the floyd style?... he did alright considering the lay off have to see more before i can decide how he will do against top opposition the guy he fought was at light heavyweight lol big ass mo****er.Comment

DLT, if your opinion had "nothing to do" with this fight, then why did you wait until after he fought Joval to create your thread saying how shot Vargas was? You can't judge by how he performed over a year ago, because he's a different fighter now. Give him some damn time.
Anyway, onto the topic at hand. Vargas looked like he had some new tricks to work on, and I think that if he continues to sharpen his defensive skills with his new trainer, he can be an elusive killer. He still has the power, so imagine the counter-punching possibilities. We'll just have to wait and see a few more fights before we can start making any decisions.Comment
