I'm Puerto Rican, and not a JuanMa hater by any means, but this is simply wrong. I don't really care whether Steven Luevano is a step up or a step down, the truth of the matter is that Lopez made a big fuss about fighting Caballero and now he won't even mention him. Honestly, I really doubt Arum even made an offer... or they probably super lowballed him and never again offered anything. BTW, I haven't read Caballero's response to this whole thing... he's so loud mouthed that he probably said something. Can someone post his reaction here?

Him and Bob Arum seem too obssessed with money and are treating his career like they are running a business. Lopez looks to have no interest in proving himself as a fighter.
His career IS a business genius. And Arum is the best at developing fighters the right way. If Caballero keeps winning at 126 he'll get his chance.

Lopez isn't the champion of anything. He ducked the true champion of 122 in Caballero, all the while talking about $1M+ Paydays. He is a disgrace to boxing: dancing to the tune of Arum's flute while fighting blown up fighters, bums and somehow proclaiming himself a world champion.

Terrible, just terrible. He was beaten around the ring for half the fight against some guy guy who has already lost 12 fights. It wouldn't surprise me if he was shot from that beating.

It's more to do with the fact that he said he would face Cabellero and then didn't. I don't even understand his logic because i think Juanma would beat him anyways.

so you are saying that roger .. won 6 rounds????

could you tell me which ones...

                  ???

im being very generous with roger.. .by giving him the last 4.. .a thing that could be debatable...

he def... won the last 2 rounds.... hands down.... but rounds 8, 9, 10 were.. back & forwarth action.....

and juanma won easy the first half of the fight

I like Juanma....but this is ridiculous. Caballero was clearly the best fight for him in his division and would have solidified his claim at being the next great champ from Puerto Rico after Cotto. This would have made every fight after Caballero a sure fire HBO telecast....and now he is going to lose fans. Not that Luevano is bad...but it could have waited...it actually would have been a good fight after Caballero. Juanma vs Celestino in Atlantic City, Puerto Rico, or New York would have been huge, but the problem is protecting young fighters for big pay days...I respect Ortiz cuz he stepped up....Juanma is good...but he obviously doesn't want to please Boxing fansa and we are what makes this business work...Cotto would have never done this....
