    Does anyone else find...

That you can only really enjoy a boxing match if it's live?

I hate watching old fights where I know who won and how they win and in what round.

Kind of removes that element of surprise and I find myself looking at the timer waiting for it to happen.

It's best live obviously, but I can watch old fights. Sometimes you see things you didn't see the first time.

Its always better live because you never know if a dramatic ko is going to come out of nowhere like with Taylor/AA......but watching old fights is like research assignments that you enjoy.

I just don't enjoy watching it a second time at all.

It's like everything that you found exciting the first time around has become boring and I normally end up skipping through the rounds.

Nope. I got a ton of fights in my collection. Some I seen dozens of times and could watch in my head. I don't give a ****. If it's a gr8 fight I can enjoy that **** forever. And fights I hve low expectations for, if I get a chance to do sumthin else the same nite I do. I'd rather see it late after spoilers are out on if it was good or not than blow off ***** or sumthin to waste my time on a snoozefest.

If this doesn't excite you then and now, you are not a boxing fan.

Do you mean live as in "going to the fight live" or live on TV? Well obviously nothing beats going to a fight. But yeah, watching a big fight live is a little better. That's why i can't get into the Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight, i won't be able to watch it live.

Then again i could watch boxing for days. Literally for days. I also like watching the old B&W fight films. I think the only era of boxing that doesn't really thrill me is in the early to mid 90's. Except for Tyson of course.

I'll tell you a weird thing... if I've taped a bout because I'm out and then watch it an hour later even if I don't know the result it doesn't have the same vibe for me.

If you can't watch the old fights where you knowthe result from a critical point of view IDK what to tell you......it is interesting watching their technique later because you are not waiting and so focused on what may happen at any second........you can analyze and point out small details that you did not notice before because you were so focused on the result.

This fight's supposed to be the best 3 rounds of boxing. Ever.
