still the fact is there, he got put down, and was getting tagged all night, a few slap flurries won him that fight, not landing clean shots

ive noticed when you make a point against the personal fav' of someone, they nit-pick a tiny fact to discredit the post.

i cant believe b-hop fans are still bitter about that
i thought the fact that he came back too dominate pavlik would have helped ease the pain of him losing too a white boy
    obviously not

Great achievements by Hopkins I admit. But how do you think Joe would have faired against: Pavlik, Taylor, Winky and Tarver?
I'm certain Joe would come out of that string of fights still unbeaten.

I'm not going to sit here and simply state that Joe would have beaten them all, because at the end of the day he didn't fight them. It's very hard to argue the case of a man who hasn't got the record of beating top p4p fighters. But in the Lacy and the Kessler fight it was transparently clear that he dominated world class opposition and that man COULD have gone on to great things if it was 5 years earlier or even if he chose a more formidable opponent than old Roy Jones.

no argument there...beat the old guard and the new guard in his division and moved up to grab the undisputed 175 title on US soil....didn't have to scale down two divisions to beat up on no hopers like some garbage fighters i know....

Calzaghe will be remembered well, but not above Jones Jr. and BHop.
