I agree all day with this......IF Manny decides to plant ten toes down and exchange.....its a wrap!!! ......funny thing is thats what I expect him to do at some point and BOOM!!!......Manny goes to sleep!!

      People people..

roach is right.. cotto will counter punch... and he will stalk.... and he will cut the ring off.. and he will exchange with manny. they just did not let roach finish talking..
cotto always mixes it up, and who says he can't fight going back wards he did it against margarito for arguably 6 or 7 rounds.

if anyone can't fight going back is manny and even that is not accurate now days, maybe in the past. he took hatton out moving back. it was a very very good shot!...

some one post that clock again! tic toc tic toc.......nov.14.....

I dont see Cotto getting on a bike for this one. Respect to Freddie Roach, the man has forgotten more about boxing than I will ever know, but I really think he has it backwards here. Cotto knows he is the biggest and meanest opponent Pac has ever faced. He is going to use that to his full advantage. I think Cotto comes forward in a low stance behind his jab, looking for exchanges where he can do damage. Thats where he beats Pac.

Switching Orthodox if your primary southpaw wouldn't be smart unless it's used rarely and the stance isn't kept for long.

We'll all know in just a little more than 2 weeks.

This fight could go either way depending on what's emplyed by each fighter but I think Cotto has a better chance to take it.

Nobody is talking about a left uppercut from Pac. See how Zab landed his on Cotto and you see why I mention an uppercut. That's a punch that could win him the fight but I don't see how Pac could throw it to Cotto.

The other thing is that Cotto has increadible timing. When Pac tries to throw that looping left hand, he's going to find himself on his a$$ from a Cotto short and stiff jab or even a short right hand. Check some of Cotto's knock downs to see what I'm talking about.

Roach have you got tourettes as well as parkinson. Sorry for saying something like this because anyone to have these syndromes have my utmost sympathy.
But cant you keep your tactics secret until after the fight. If you manage to beat Cotto then you can say what you tried to do.

BUt if Pac can beat Cotto, then you can with no arguments make claim to having the best fighter for sure. Regardless of whether PBF could beat Pac it dont matter.
Pac will definately be called the best, because PBF didnt risk it thats for sure.

But at 147 Cotto has shown a better chin from bigger, stronger fighters.

                      I think a few things:

(1.) Manny uses his speed to zip and zig and zag and that he'll move in and out.

(2.) Cotto is a sucker for uppercuts because of the way he leans over his front foot. He's also open for a right hook over the top.

(3.) If Manny lays on the ropes it will be a problem. Cotto throws quick combos, too and he can hurt a guy if he stands in front of him or has his back against the ropes.

Pac has to be cautious because he's not a real welterweight - or at least not as real as Cotto.
