It is not the fact that he has better skills than Cotto or can beat him, because I really think he can't, but The Phillipines look like a very poor place and even though it may not put bread and water on they're tables, the people there rely too much on him to accomplish too much and to give them that "hope" of having someone as great as him on top of the world, people literally worship him and though he's only a man, to them it appears he's something far beyond that.

I want my man Cotto to win, but if he doesn't people over here aren't going to lose sleep on it, if Pac losses to him and by KO, it may end up pretty bad over there....you guys know what I'm saying or am I alone in this?

I agree that Pacman has more at stake than Cotto. It goes beyond self. The hopes of an entire nation. And a bereaved nation at that. PR doesn't even come close to the level of fanaticism Filipinos have for their star, imo.

I don't believe he meant that its not possible for Pacquiao to lose. He meant that Pac has more at stake.
