arum is waffling because he needs everyone to think that cotto isn't ruined by margo to sell the pac/cotto fight.

Its possible Pull but why would Arum stand behind him after the CSAC decision. Knowing theres no money to be made for a year or possibly ever? Then 4 mo. before possible reinstatement make the comments he has ? To me it makes no sense. I have no answers I'm just speculating ?

It's not as though C****tillo was making a public announcement when he was slipping in the plaster bricks. I am sure C****tillo has done this before and I am sure they know how to create a diversion or C****tillo is good with his hands like a magician, it's only tricks which the eye does not see. Hence the word, "Slight of Hand." In this case it was trick of the hand wraps. The commision was not doing their job and Evangelista Cotto did not catch it either. Let's not forget that even Margarita her self told everyone including the court and he told Freddie Roach too, that he did not see C****tillo put it in and who was closer to C****tillo that night then Margacheater? Anyway you look at it, they are still guilty and they got caught. You can believe what you want but if Margacheater did not see C****tillo load the wraps, his magic tricks are very good but I personally believe that Margacheater did know about the plaster.

Margarito's attempted use of illegal wraps never went to court. There were no criminal procedings. It was investigated only by the California State Athletic Commision. They found that the wraps contained a substance like plaster of paris and sufficiently demonstrated how the substance would have quickly hardened when wet.

To be honest, Marg and his team are very, very lucky. Technically they could have been brought before the law with intent. That they received only a year suspension in California is quite amazing. Few other sports are run in the way boxing is in America.

In terms of the Cotto fight, all we can do is speculate. I feel that this is naturally going to be rife because most fans are (rightly) angry that the sport they follow is managed in such a willy nilly fashion.

One of the most common human defects is complacency. It happens everywhere, everyday.

People get so used to repetitiveness, that they stop paying attention and just assume. I see it at my workplace every day. After time people just start going through the motions.

That defect is what almost enabled Margarito to cheat against Mosley, and very well could have altered the Cotto fight.

It would also be normal for the Nevada commission to cover their a$$e$. In fact it is to be expected. They see hands being wrapped multiple times every week, every month, every year without incident. Suddenly they stop watching and just assume. That behavior is what opened the door for Margarito and his trainer to attempt something bad in California.

That does not change the fact that every minute of every day, some bozo is not doing their job. People or Property can get damaged or destroyed as a result.

Complacency helped 9/11 happen. It helped those Pilots last week play on their laptops too long. It causes a customer to get the wrong order at Mcdonalds, BK or Wendy's. Fighters lose their 0's. Trainers show up late. You can go on forever.

Not oly that but people kinda ignore the legalities of this situation. First of all Margarito and his trainer should be facing much, much harsher punishments independent from boxing. How are these one or both of these guys not facing jail time? WTF? Does that make any sense?

Another thing about complacency I know there are people here that feel injustice (Cotto fans mostly). Boxing fans should NOT accept Margarito's win over Cotto and neither should anyone else but since we dont see anyone doing anything about the Margarito W TKO 11 we just kinda accept it (complacency). Which is BS.

Proof:There was a man who accused Margarito for using them in sparring sessions,where in sparring,men were coming out with broken heads,boxers never felt punches so damn hard!!!!Why would you use plaster on mosley when before that mosley wasn't as big as then beating margo!!!!!Cotto was his big payday not mosley,,and he will only use it on mosley,,bull****..he was training for cotto with those pads!!!!Its obvious,margarito punched p.williams so many times and not even a scratch on face...punches cotto a few and poof!!!tomato about to burst!!!he cheated he cheated he cheated!!!

Dumbest thing posted so far. There have been MANY fighters that look as bad or worse, should we investigate them and see if they were hit with loaded gloves?
