I hope that contract has an out clause.
Bradley has a contract with Showtime? I thought he only fought at Showtime cuz Gary Shaw gets more dates from Showtime than he does from HBO.

Whatever happened to Showtime no rights/great fights?

I do not know for a fact that he is locked into a contract. But part of getting fighters to acceptthe lower SHO purses is to guarantee them dates.

It may be an "options contract".

Remember, networks do buy "x number of fights" from a promoter.

Remember when Jay was there, he had that deal with Don King.

If Gary Shaw has a similar deal, and he knows that he has to deliver good fights, all he has to do is keep sticking Bradley in. What choice would Tim have?

So, even if the contract with SHO wasn't Tim-specific, TB is still bound if he gets a good-faith fight offer from his promoter.

Showtime did have a contract with King. Did they also have a contract with Frank Warren? Showtime use to show Hatton and Calzaghe a lot when they were with him....

You right they might have a cotract with Gary Shaw. I always see Shaw fighters on Showtime. Dawson before he signed with HBO, Darchinyan, and now Bradley...

However, couldn't Bradley do what Dawson did and sign a contract with HBO. IF HBO offers him a contract?

Yes, he could. That is why it's important to have your management and your promoter on the same page. They need to work together in your best interests. Your manager needs to keep the promoter honest, becase many times the promoter has interests that conflict with the fighter's.

I will let you guess who Chad's promoter is. That guy has A LOT of clout with HBO.

do you even know what you're talking about? Bradley can pull an upset against Pac? he would destroy Bradley. Bradley wouldnt have any advantage against Manny Pacquiao.

Oooooh. I think you are overstating it. Pacquiao hasn't fought anyone that athletic in , um, ever.

Bradley is a tad green for Pac, and I'd pick Pac to win it. But I can easily see the fight on the table going into the 11th...

                      Easily.
