By Liam Santiago: Former undefeated world champion, Joe Calzaghe has announced his plans to return to the ring. As of yet, nothing is official but Calzaghe already has an opponent in line. If you are a fan of the Welsh man, please, do not get over exited. He is not planning on fighting Carl Froch, Bernard Hopkins or Kelly Pavlik. The opponent he is after is a cage fighter with a record of 8-8-1.
So, in typical Calzaghe style, an easy fight is on the cards. On the radio station, Red Dragon FM, Calzaghe has already started the pre fight hype, referring to the opponent, Alex Reid as ”that fighter who dresses like a woman”. Calzaghe went on to say, ”As long as he stays standing up, no kicking allowed. It would be too quick. ‘Id take him out, no problem”.
Well Joe, yes you probably would take him out no problem as he has never boxed before and has a 50/50 record. The guy has absolutely zero experience in boxing so of course you could ‘take him out’.
