No now that is not true... Casual fans know who Pacquiao is....Pac is pretty well known. However, he is no where near the level of Ali, Tyson, and Oscar. He just not.

to paraphrase, Arum said Ali, oscar, tyson never had the type of cult following Manny has, with phillipines, and filipinos across the world.

Its not a diss to ali, oscar or tyson, they were both from America and you just wont see that kind of following that a country would have.

Its almost comparable to kotsa tzuyu (kinda) cotto, trinidad and with their countries following them.

Arum DID NOT SAY manny is more popular than ali, tyson. His following is just a little different compared to the two.

anywhere in the world Tyson went in his prime he would be greated by droves of fans.. no matter what continent. & you are probably a year older then me so it's hilarious that you try and pull the age card.

I'm not one to talk or boast about age on a forum, but I am a lot more than a year older than you. Anyways ask anyone 30 years or older who can remember anything who was more well known. Ali was seen as an icon and the best sportsman int he world, Tyson was viewed as a freak show.

It's funny that this comes from the website fighthype because that's all it is, hype.

                      It's just promotion.
