Since they are very poor, at age 5 pacquiao worked a lot for the family.
Begging for some breads and cigarettes for him to sell them to make a living.
He is the one feeding his family since his father was only a carpenter at that time.
Then he started joining competitions of boxing in their barangays.
wherein if you win u'll be able to get 100 pesos=2 dollars.
and if u lose u'll earn 50pesos or 1 dollar.
but he didnt took the sport seriously at first.
as time passes by,pacquiao was winning most of his competitions.
then he realized that,that was his dream.
when he was 16, he went away from their home without any permission from
his parents,only leaving a note that his destination is the city of manila.
pacquiao arrived at manila without knowing what to do,
carrying some old clothes,a little amount of money,no relatives,no shelter,no job,no destination.
He then worked as construction worker for almost a year and a half.
after all his sacrifices he was able to start his dream at age 17.
he sends letter to his mother every month to tell them not to worry and he's okay.
the first 8 fights of pacquiao were successful wins,but no KO happend yet.
on his 9th fight,he was beaten badly,got knockdown.
he's record turned 8-1-0 KO.
the lost motivated him a lot.he then killed himself more in training and he was more focus than ever..
on his 10th fight came the 1st KO of his career.
9-1-1KO.
to this date,pacquiao's record is 49-3loses-2draws-37KO
the last to survived him was marquez,barrera and larios.
4 lineal titles in 6 different weight divisions.
pacquiao inpired millions of people all throughout the world.including boxers
