As long as he is around big fights involving him are always possible wether they happean sooner or later. If he continues to fight everyone will eventually get to see what they want, I don't really see how that is avoidable.

He is one of the biggest stars in the sport though and having a big star around never hurts boxing even if they mess around and don't do much~.

The funny part is the people that hate him hang on his every word and it gets them bent out of shape I can not even understand giving someone that you have such a strong dislike so much thought and effort.

There are some things about Mayweather that bugs me, but someone to say that they are a fan of boxing and wishes a man with the highest skill level in the sport that he should of stayed retired is just plain silly.
It's ok to dislike the man but don't dislike for the wrong reasons.

Man if Floyd was trying to get peoples attention he be lost. When he retired everyone forgot his ass, but he wanted to comeback for the spotlight and because he was broke.
He's the only one making videos to get peoples attention while Pac & Cotto just do their thing. Now he's always defending himself about shane time and time again. He should just man up and fight him and stop bringing in people to talk for him in videos. I guess he doesn't like being alone he lacks self confidence.

He is still retired to me... I lossed hope that he would ever get in the ring with anybody who has legit chane to beat him. Shane-Floyd is never going to happen unless Shane looks very old in his next fight. So now I rather see fights that matter. P-Will-Martinez, Shane-Cotto/Pac winner, Lopez-Caballero, Gonzalez-Garcia or even against the Thai fighter...

with floyd out if the sport, we get better fights, fights we want to see, and more of them, since he's come back, it's starting to look how it did when he retired, boxing is again taking a step back with floyd back in the game, floyd is the equivalent to constipation when it comes to making fights and giving the fans, the people who keep the sport alive, meaningful, worth your money fights................. as far as i'm concerned, whatever division or weight class floyd is fighting at, it needs an ENEMA!!!!!

How might you explain that this entire post runs counter to the documented facts about Mayweather's contribution to boxing.

Metrics and Data. Not sentiment or opinion. Facts.

Ya know, that is a very reasonable perspective, and I wish that more people would view it that way.

If you are interested in his fights, engage. If you aren't , ignore him. Consider him retired.

Because the truth is that FMJ hasn't been holding anyone up.
