Looks like IBF light flyweight champion Brian Viloria will not get a chance at redemption against former conqueror Omar Nino Romero as scheduled on December 5. Negotiations with the IBF #4 challenger of Mexico broke down and the IBF will now mandate Viloria to face the highest available contender, #8 Carlos Tamara of Colombia. The fight will most likely take place in Manila, Philippines. [details]

Even though I've covered Viloria for a long time, I'm probably more familiar with Tamara since I've been in the gym with him for the last six months. Very colorful personality with an extremely slick style. Saw him in the gym today sparring with a kid from the Bronx, he's very hard to hit with a clean shot. Excellent head movement and throws a lot of punches.
Reminds me of a smaller Ola Afolabi.
