    Sad to see and hard to watch....You could just tell in the sparring sessions that Ali just didnt have it anymore

      This is good. I feel for Holmes too, the guy will never be remembered in the light he should be. And of course it's sad what Ali was at that point.

                Ali should have definitely retired in 1978 after the 2nd fight with Leon Spinks and even then he was way past his best. Some say that he should have retired after the third Frazier fight and even could have an argument that the Foreman fight should have been his last. One certain thing is that he definitely he should have never been in a ring with Holmes and the last fight against Berbick was not needed, although he performed way better than he did against Holmes.
