24/7 Pacquiao-Cotto disappoints fans

Of course.
I understand anything that helps promote a fight and the sport is a good thing.
But i feel the fight cant be more hyped than it already is. Yet u have to be a boxing fan to know why it is potentially so exciting. By knowing their styles and previous fights etc.
I dont think the 24/7, a programme about the pre fight preparation, can really do justice to the history of this fight.
24/7 needs big personalities to capture the non boxing fans imagination. Like Floyd and Hatton s show. Boxing fasn shouldnt be suprised at the lack of personality these two fighters have.
So i dont understand why boxing fans are complaining, or what they thought the first episode should have included.
Please share how this fight is heavily hyped outside of boxing circles.Comment

My interpretation of being red rep are?
It means that you're not a credible poster, right?
It means that you should not be taken seriously, right?
It means that you're a very bias poster, right?
It means that you're a fan/hater of a fighter only, right?
okay that's all for now.Comment

That's not much of a sample size.
People can be underwhelmed all they want though. At the end of the day, they'll still watch the 24/7's, and still watch the fight. The match-up has a ton of hype, even outside of the hardcore fans.Comment

Not regular coverage. But "hype".

All I know is that people I know that aren't into boxing are into this fight. Pac really has the attention of the general public after the KO of Ricky. I've had people ask me things about this fight that I never thought would be asking me about boxing.
I'm sure you'll discard that because I have no concrete proof, but that's really all I need to know. This fight sells itself.
And a lot of people disagree with your take on the 24/7.Comment

IT bore the hell of Floyd fans like Floyds 24/7 bore the hell out of me.
I don't like his flamboyan attitude like you don't like Pac - Cotto Humble attitude. Either way you seem to be in a mission to dis this 24/7 show.
Do Floyd fans felt the threated in any way LOL
tell me the best exiting fight with Floyd and I compare them with any of the Cotto or Pac fights and I will always win.Comment

1) You said that you felt "this fight can't be any more hyped". I disagreed, and requested that you demonstrate the hype to the mainstream fan.
2) The way that I would have improved the 24/7 is to show a history of the exciting moments and KO's that these guys have . I would have mad a part of the show into almost a highlight reel.
3) I would have amped up the monologue/overdub from Liev's typical dramatic style, to a more upbeat/energetic tone.
4) I would have liked to seen more "menace" from the fighters. In much the way that Hatton was able to do in his 24/7 w Floyd. Do you remember when Ricky was saying "I'm ready for this...more than him".
5) I wouldn't have made Miguel such a "family man". I don't think the non-fan is going to buy the fight because Miguel is a good dad. I think they buy the fight because they think this Cotto guy is a beast. Someone who was knocked down before but keeps coming. Someone who had blood pouring down his face, someone who will get dirty and low-blow you , if necessary. I would have edited new and existing footage to make Miguel THAT guy. The Terminator.
6) i would have shown the aftermath of the Koncz/Ariza sc****. HBO allowed them to downplay it. At least provide context.
How's that for starters?
