The rule that Sugar Ray Robinson is the best of all time

I'm not saying he isn't but seeing as most of his welterweight career is not on tape (his prime) is there enough clips for us to claim that without doubt he is the greatest fighter of all time and no one comes close? If someone says someone else they are instantly called a noob.

I've watched as much as I can of SRR and no doubt he was amazing but I can't really claim he's the best ever with such little amount of video I have.

Based on his accomplishments and who he beat, plus many people that are still living, did witness these fight and can attest for them.

Well, more than 50 of his fights were filmed which should be enough to judge any fighter's abilities and his accomplishments speak for themselves.

I can say this though, to most boxing historians the claim that Robinson was the greatest p4p is quite disputed. To some it's Greb, to some it's Armstrong, to some it might even be a fighter from today like Mayweather or Roy Jones. It's all good as long as you can back your argument as to who the best ever was in your view with facts.

We have video of him out of his prime beating MW's right? SO it stand to reason that he was even better at WW as well as being unbeaten at Welter with a pretty incredible resume at both weights:

Sammy Angott (LW champ moving up first fight was at 136lbs)
        Marty Servo (future WW champ)
        Fritzie Zivic (former WW champ)
        Lamotta (MW champ)
Henry Armstrong (Three weight world champ at once time)
        Tommy Bell (title contender)
        George Costner
        Kid Gavilan (Future WW champ)
        Randy Turpin (MW champ)
        Carl Bobo Olson (MW Champ)
        Rocky Graziano (former MW champ)
Gene Fullmer (MW champ incredible KO)
        Carmen Basilio (MW champ)

He fought most of them multiple times and it argueable that quite a few of them at ATG fighters some even P4P level fighters.

he;s only the greatest all time by default cuz he brought the first spot light to boxing
dont get confused, back then alot of the people would be like the bums we have now
but i have no doubt in my mind roy jones would slaughter robinson 10 times out of 10

if jones had those thin as gloves there would be more broken ribs

Robinson beat a slew of HOF boxers and began his career with an amazing record. In Robinson's first 11 years as a pro, he was 128-1-2.

                  Enough said.
