toney is the more talented fighter and is more of a competitor than floyd but floyd has discipline and a certain dedication that toney doesn't have.

    pbf takes it.

IMO Corrales was Mayweathers best win of his career. And I would not compare that to the McCallum fight. Those fights were too close. Mayweather outboxed and completely outclassed the favorite Corrales at the time.
I wouldn't say that Nunn did nothing, he just wasn't as good in the higher weights. But he did perform well in a close loss to Rochigianni for the LHW title.

Corrales IS Mayweather's best win. And it is not as good as beating McCallum or Nunn, certainly not the two combined. Same with Castillo. Jirov is a more impressive win than Oscar, Hatton, etc.

I think they both are equally talented but yeah Floyd has the discipline and dedication that Toney seem to lack at times. Like Roach said if Toney had 50% of Pacquiao's hard work he would be one of the greatest fighters ever

That's just a difference in opinion between you and I.

I think Corrales win was better than the way Toney beat McCallum.

          Anyway thanks for your take

McCallum was a better fighter than Corrales and Nunn was considered better as well. You're welcome.

Lets take a look at the records:

              Floyd Mayweather Jr

              won 40 (KO 25) + lost 0 (KO 0) + drawn 0 = 40 Total Fights

              Fought 2 Unbeaten Opponents

              James Toney

              won 72 (KO 44) + lost 6 (KO 0) + drawn 3 + no contest 2 = 83 Total Fights

              Fought 9 Unbeaten Opponents

I think Toney takes Floyd in the ATG list at this point pretty comfortably. He fought more high quality opponents and he fought more than twice as many fights as Mayweather in total. He's got 6 defeats but he was never KO'd and he fought a lot more unbeaten opponents who effectively had no tried and tested gameplan to beat them.

I think that fact speaks for itself. Mayweather only fought 2 unbeaten opponents. All the rest were previously beaten so there was already an established gameplan to beat them.

wait..how is he more talented?...explain how...

Mayweather has NEVER been on the other end of another fighters dominant performance nor has Mayweather moved up in weight and looked sloppy.....its funny how we forget when Toney was p4P # 1..Roy Jones moved up in his division and dominated him....
