Sonsona Coming Along Well in Training For Hernandez

WBO super flyweight champion “Marvelous” Marvin Sonsona is looking good according to elite trainer Nonito Donaire Sr who is working with longtime trainer Jun Agrabio in preparing the 19 year old southpaw for his first title defense at Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada on November 21. [details]

After his 3 successful defenses, he should challenge darch first before considering moving to Bantamweight div. to legitimize his status as the best in Super Flyweight division.

This should be a fight where Sonsona looks really good and gets a lot of target practice. Hernandez comes forward but he's not a big puncher and not overly skilled. He's lost three of his last six and his only wins since mid-2007 have been in set-up fights against guys brought in to lose. Hernandez has lasted the distance against some good fighters (Omar Narvaez for instance), but they've all been at flyweight and they haven't been against bigger punchers like Sonsona. Easy defense for Sonsona if he's as good as he looked against Lopez
