No way would any shady business be allowed to happen in the States [again]. He's going to be under a microscope for the rest of his career, with every move he makes coming under meticulous scrutiny.

I take it you're joking. Margarito's uppercut had him in fits and bits, and Clottey's was snapping his head back constantly. As good as he is, he simply doesn't deal with pressure well. If I see him hopping on his bike against Pacquiao, my rooting for him will end very abruptly.

He only has problems with pressure fighters that are bigger than him. He'll do and has done fine with guys his own size or slightly bigger. Even w/o plaster, margo had a good game plan and is quite a bit bigger than Cotto. Mosely exposed his glass jaw, and threw him all over the ring.

by now I'm sure Cotto is aware of his weak defense re; uppercuts, and is working on it, preparing for his fight with Manny, though Manny isn't a heavy uppercut user, he does occasionally and pretty effectively.

If Cotto fights margo again, I'm sure now that Cotto knows a lot about margos style, and will be much better prepared for it, working in a good uppercut defence.

Plus his seething anger that will surface in the ring will give Cotto an adrenaline rush, that will keep him from gassing, knowing margo's gloves aren't loaded. And before anybody starts, i didn't say they were for his previous fight. Just that i definatly think they were.

Boxers of Cotto's, Clottey's and Manny's caliber aren't afraid to fight anybody.

you sound like ever single fighter from 168 on down. everyone knows margarito has lethal punching power and it has nothing to do with handwraps. its called TRUE WELTERWEIGHT POWER!!! all the fighters and real boxing fans know margarito has never really lost. he has only been robbed. the only man that can beat the tijuana tornado is himself. its just plain and basic common sense.

I don't think Margarito will ever be the same after that beating he took from Shane Mosley, but I still think he'd easily handle Berto and maybe have a little bit more trouble with Collazo, but ultimately beat him. And if he returned to form, he'd make Cotto his ***** like Vern Shillinger did to Beecher off of Oz again.

the fight with cotto is what led to margarito losing badly to mosley, all through the fight, cotto landed clean head and neck snapping shots on marg which ruined margarito for mosley, mosley finished off a ruined margarito from what cotto did before,
