        Resume Of Wins
        Hector Camacho
        Luis Ramon Campas (56-0)
        Oba Carr (32-0)
        Pernell Whitaker
        Oscar De La Hoya (31-0)
        David Reid (14-0)
        Fernando Vargas (20-0)
        Ricardo Mayorga

        3 Weight Divsion World Champion
15 defences of his IBF Welterweight Title
Fought Virtually all the era's best.
Was Number #1 P4P Best Fighter In The World.
Unifed 147 and 154 Champion as well as a winning a Title at 160

he also dropped 40-45lbs sometimes 45+lbs to fight those guys at welterweight, so............... if you're one of those guys that likes to harp on hopkins for fighting smaller guys, trinidads resume is built on nothing but smaller guys form his natural weight............. then when he did fight someone his own size, that was on his level of game or above (which we all saw) he got KTFO, after taking a 12 round beating............... then to fall off the face of the planet basically.

greats are greats for what they do after they have lost............ trinidad did ****....

first, he is no ATG. second, he got schooled by De la Hoya.

he beat a past it pernell who was 1 fight away from retiring. i would not call oba carr an "ATG" win, oba is some one that would look good on a up and comers resume. david reid? and just for kicks, if you think tito is an ATG, you better have winky ahead of him because he dominated him. Tito is more of a name that an ATG and I think thats why his status is getting to peoples heads. We could have seen more of him in career defining fightsif he hadnt taken all those long breaks but I still think hes limited as a fighter and would rack up more losses.

I remember when he crushed Joppy, worse then any other fight before or after have done. I thought he looked like a prime mini Tyson that night. He proved he could not only hang with the best in the middleweight division but he was a very, very good fighter.

But as soon he lost to Hopkins, he was consider washed up (at 28), a blowned up welterweight etc...

Fact was he was a great fighter but, just not better then Hopkins. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Hopkins on the other hand, had to wait until he was 36 untill he could get his break thrue, and today some still insiste that he has only beat smaller fighters.

Ignoring the fact that Hagler had his best wins against smaller fighters.

His performance against Joppy, was just breathtaking! No one has ever destroyed Joppy like that.

I agree, and Joppy wasnt a bad fighter, not great but a solid good middleweight with good boxing skills, a bit underrated perhaps. And Trinidad just walked right thru him. Very impressive win.

If you're going to be giving credit for some of those fights, you might as well give the same to Oscar. Well maybe not you but a lot of double standard Ricans/Oscar Haters.

Reid & Vargas weren't really that professionally experienced.
Pernell & Camacho were out of prime.
Mayorga, though he's one of my favorites, isn't exactly much of a top quality guy. Especially the fight being at what? 160?
Campas is a journeyman at most. Nothing special.

you honestly want to diminish the best win of hopkins' overrated career?

you really want to do that?

tito didn't use plaster or have illegal wraps.

hopkins just complained about how it was wrapped. i don't even think hopkins really cared. it was a way for him to get in tito's head before the fight.

roach did the same thing to oscar last year. are we gonna question oscar's ko's in his career now too?
