Is Manny overrated? It all depends. See, I have been a fan of Manny ever since he was on his way up and always found his fights exciting. I have no problems with Manny at all. However, what makes him look overrated is all the worshippers that somehow after he became a star got on their knees, brought him offerings and who knows what else. It's funny cuz I don't remember all these fans a while back but now it's Manny this and Manny that and a lot of them probably don't know Jack about boxing. See, I try to keep things as honest and as practical as possible. I am not one to act like there is no one in the DAMN world that can beat Manny like some of these clowns around here act. It's amzing to me and at times I'm puzzled by it but then I move on. I see things the way they are. Do I believe that Manny can loose to Cotto and it's also possible that Cotto can loose to Manny...it's boxing after all. One of my main concerns, of course, is how Manny handles Cotto's power (specially) to the body...that in my opinion is what will determine the end result of this fight. If Manny was a natural WW then it would be another story altogether. But we'll see how it all plays out come Nov. 14th. That's my take.

and what's wrong with this guy's prediction, i actually agree with him, i don't se pac as a boxing god that would walk a proven warrior like cotto down in 3 minutes and knock him out. pac can win but it aint happening in the 1st i tell you that

On point! Great post bro. There's a difference between being reasonable as to Manny's abilities and just going overboard with what he can do in the ring. IMHO, Cotto will win this fight but that will not diminish my admiration for Pac. If I am wrong and Pac wins then, wow, major, major respect to Pac and his team not only for winning but for challenging themselves to fight the best.

Roach already admitted that he was just trying to get into Cotto's head with his comments. Good strategy because Roach has said Manny would knock out Cotto in nearly every round so Cotto has to be thinking, if Roach is right, just what round will my watermelon head get KTFO?

Cotto could catch Manny with the good shot whether its to the body or head and knock him out in the first round also. So that doesn't make any sense on Roach. I hope Cotto knocks Manny because Im tired of hearing about this over rated fighter.
He is not overrated ******, review what he has accomplished from flyweight to welterweight. Do your research, ******. Coz you don't like him, you can just ignore his resume? ****** STFU!

Hotbox was right until he made the mistake of calling Pac an overrated fighter. Right now he might be a little bit too overhyped, in the sense that Pac nuggers think he could beat anyone from 125-168 but he is not overrated at all. Pac deserves every accolade he receives for his body of work and his willingness to challenge himself. He might have bitten more than he can chew with Cotto but I respect Pac for stepping into the ring with the Puertorrican mauler. We will see come fight night.

how can a naturally small boxer like Pacquiao is overrated when he is fighting a real welterweight champion who has been fighting above 140 lbs for a long time. the more you destroy your opponent the more fans u attract. A WHILE BACK MANNY WAS NOT AS POPULAR. he is regarded as the most popular boxer IN THE WORLD. so it makes sense when those fans Manny has right now wasnt there a while back. even Mike Tyson is a fan of Manny Pacquio. did you get my point there? a while back he wasnt as popular. and dont even call Manny overrated. fighting bigger guys and going up in weights is far from being overrated. would you rather see him fighing Valero, Chris John? whoever Pacquiao fights you would call him overrated because you are a hater and not a boxing fan. Boxing fans admire what Manny has been done in his career. from 106 lbs going all the way up to 147 is extremely hard to do. in fact nobody has ever done it. nobody has ever done what he has done. a flyweight champ winning a jr welterweight title is unheard.

Roach prediction is normally said by boxing trainers. Roach prediction does not carry the seriousness effect that it will happen for sure. It is a "might" prediction which means may or may not happen. Who knows Manny might land a fatal blow in the first round. We don't know. Anything surprising can happen in boxing.
