Audley Speaks: Last Few Weeks
JOB WELL DONE
Having spent some quality time with my wife Raychel and daughter Ariella for the last few weeks, I returned to the gym this week and have reflected on my victory in Prizefighter and where I go from here. Shadeed, my new trainer was excellent in camp and during the fights and we spoke in the gym about the positives and negatives of my performances. He was really happy with the way I handled myself, especially when the vultures were hoping to see my demise.
I stayed in the zone and didn't get fazed by anything. Behind the scenes there was some drama as when I turned up at the venue, there was an overwhelming smell of smoke in my changing room as it was above generators and it stunk so badly. I had to get ready in the hallway, as my wife Raychel and security and friend Steve found me a new room. I then had to deal with the gloves which were 10oz and should have been 10ozXL. My hands couldn't even fit in the gloves properly and I made a big issue of it as it was contracted for my gloves to be XL. The board got involved and wouldn't let me wear my Everlast ones as they had previously been used and everyone else was wearing Lonsdale. It was a joke, but I decided to let it go. I knew my hand would hurt after as my fist didn’t fit in the glove properly.
After the victory, I decided to give the trophy away to the Sprott family as promised and I hope it goes some way to helping them. I've also left the auction page up with links to help sites where people can go to get help with depression. I really want to thank Sweatband; Jovi and Maz in particular, for jumping on this and making it happen.
I spent the week after the fight catching up with family members and also found time to visit Repton, Northolt and Hounslow amateur boxing clubs and take pictures with the members. I also went and made an appearance at Colin McMillan's charity boxing show and gave away a trophy and watched some good bouts. All in, it was a job well done, both in and out of the ring.
BIZARRE DECISIONS IN BOXING
I found it a peculiar decision to not strip Danny of his titles and allow him to fight on. Regardless of whether Danny wins against Rogan or Sexton, I believe he is devaluing the British title as he is not the number 1. He is a danger to himself and boxing if he continues to suffer the kind of losses and knockdowns that we now associate with a Danny Williams performance. If anyone saw his knockout loss to Albert Sosnowski last year, you would know that Danny should not be taking anymore punishment. I don't see how the board cannot see that.
FIGHTING AGAIN THIS YEAR
If all goes well, I will be fighting again this year, so will hopefully have some news in the coming weeks.

I gave an interview to the Mail on Sunday and the Voice Newspaper about my drama with the BBC and I hope the BBC make the necessary overtures to me to put this issue to bed. I'm ready to move on with my career and life. I received a VIP invite to the BBC Sports Personality of the Year and it is a step in the right direction, but I'm hoping to speak with them soon and suggest to them my views about how this story can end with a positive outcome for all.

In the coming weeks I'll be making some changes to my website. I'll be blogging more and will do an Audley Speaks on boxing and my career, in addition to an Audley Speaks on Life and Spirituality. This is the first boxing one. I'll also link my Facebook and Twitter page to my website, so the lines of communications are all aligned and on the same channel. Look out for my blog on being in London and my views on London life and my life's journey. It will be my first Spiritual /Life blog.
