I thought it was Rafael Marquez vs. JuanMa Lopez, lol, but I still picked Rafael.
Rafa Marquez or Juanma Marquez?

Thats what makes them so god damn exciting, lol... In hindsight, you can't fault JMM for falling. Packy's proven to be a pretty god damn devastating puncher. The fact that JMM got up 3 times in the first fight and in that second fight from the same blow that took Hatton out, shows how tough that bastard is.
Great stuff man. Sorry I missed too sharp, lol...but you're right. I have no doubts that Rafa beats Juanma anytime, the only one I have is age and wear and tear.Me too, but it's not official. If he had an official win over Pac, this wouldn't really be debatable.
Austin was like Paul Williams without the punch output, but with better defense. Johnson was pretty much undefeated. Both had been in top 10 P4P lists.
It is hard to pick though, 2 great fighters. Rafael could take it to the next level with a win over the other Juanma. Even before Lopez got somewhat exposed by Mtagwa, I thought Rafa could beat him like he did those lefties. He looked a little rusty against the Colombian, but not shot, he can get it done.
Too Sharp Johnson was the first name I put.
Prime Rafa cuts him up though. And even though Izzy fought the 12th like a bat outta hell, I still didn't think it was enough for him to get the decision. Plus Pat Russell's 10th round deduction was pure garbage.
Rafa got jobbed in that fight a bit imo.Comment

Yeah, I had it 113-112 for Rafa. His jab was landing way too consistently to give some of those mid rounds to Izzy. And they were hard jabs too not pitty pat Mosley jabs.Great stuff man. Marquez bros' stance, counter punching, power, and rhythm make southpaws not want to throw. Roach said it himself, that JMM's style worked great against lefties.
I think Rafa still might be able to beat Lopez, he looks strong at featherweight. He just needs to stay in the ring and forget about Izzy cuz Lopez is a bigger win and maybe the bigger fight.Comment

I can't express any of this better myself.
