I saw another post (below) where Johnson discussed Calzaghe but rather then reply thought it better to just explain it in a new thread.
Ok so I work in London & oversaw the installations of some interactive whiteboards in a school around 2 years back. the labourers came from Wales because the hourly rate is far cheaper than in London & so it's more cost effective to get contract work from Wales to come into London.
Anyway this guy was from the same town as Calzaghe and we got chatting & he gave me some interesting gossip. The reason according to him Calzaghe never fought Johnson was because at the time he was going through a nasty divorce whereby the local rumour was he hit his wife!
Anyway that was the reason he never fought Johnson there was alot of behind closed doors wrangling between the law, lawyers etc at the time the fight(s) were discussed. From what I was told his wife got a tasty settlement to keep her mouth shut and not press charges.
