Before Floyd retired he was coming into the ring at 146 at WW so why shouldnt Cotto's resume be better when he's been a WW pretty much his whole career and never had to worry about anyone size wise. I also think its dumb how people never rate Floyd's win over Oscar just because it wasnt at WW. Thats better than a WW win. He beat a guy much bigger at a higher weight and was outweighed by a ton in the ring. Cotto wouldnt have beat that Oscar at 154. No way, no how. He also got stopped by Margarito and alot of people think he lost to Shane so its not like his resume is superb.
Cotto will destroy a 2007 version of Dela Hoya in any weight. Dela Hoya was slow, way past his prime and look older than his age. you dont know anything about boxing. Dela Hoya would lose to any of the world class fighter even in his prime. opps thats already happened.

I disagree but we'll never know will we. I think I understand why cotto stayed in this division even though he could have moved up 1 or 2 weight classes. I guess because WW is the premiere division but to say cotto is so much more of a fighter because he's fought more WW's when he is a really big WW who comes into the ring as a middleweight most of the time just makes me scratch my head. I mean think about it.

The only thing fair about compairing them is that floyd is somehow ranked above Cotto by the ring!!In reality though, the ring probably did that to coax floyd into fighting Mosley, but floyd isn't doing that!!So basically the ring just **** on every welterweight putting in work for years for nothing, wow & fight fans are ok with that?!!

It's important that you understand that when they make those rankings they look at overall career resume considerably not just the resume in that division. to explain floyd is the best fighter who is actively fighting at WW not to say he has the best WW resume.

Over all career resume has nothing to do with who did what at 147!!If that was the case,Pacman would be ranked #1 at welterweight then!!There is no reason why floyd should be ranked over Cotto,U know it too!!

Those numbers don't indicate a better overall resume by cotto. If you want to make that argument find some more relevant facts.

So why doesnt mayweather fight the best , yet he claims to be the best. He should go back to lower divisions , cuz he aint doing **** at ww. and he wont , we all know he is scared.

No doubt that Cotto has the better resume at WW.
