There have been some dreadful posts in this thread. Khan is not hated in the UK as many are trying to make out. He is one of the most well and well liked boxers we have.

Unless we are Khan or in his shoes we wouldnt understand what the man is going through personally, But the issue of race cannot be sidetrack or dismiss in this because khan does go through it and people trying to deny or downplay it are in denial.

His younger brother was racially abuse in Liverpool while fighting against another boxer who was caucasian, People try to put up a front when it comes to race in here, The man was boo in his own country against Barrera and i made the point here on these board and someone was trying to tell me its because barrera has done a lot for boxing but does that mean you have to boo your own countryman???

Khan might not be hated by the media but he sure does go through a lot with some part of the general public who only see him in one way.

Amir Khan should come here to Holland, here we threat champions with the outmost respect. Race isn't a big of an issue, there is alot of tolerance here. I hope he does go settle in L.A. so he can focus on boxing and become a boxing legend. Froch basicly lost his last 2 fights, he got the win over Taylor because Taylor basicly go exhausted. Direll outboxed him, Froch looked like a robot but he got a gift decision. And Froch's chin isn't that great as people say it is. Wait till he fights AA of MK then we will see how great his chin is.

Froch: minimum boxing skills (no speed, no power, bad footwork, bad accuracy, no headmovement, no ****ing ANYTHING !!). He's only got a good chin and heart. And the guy is ****ing 32. He's at the end of his career.

Khan: Great boxing skills (incredible speed, decent power, good accuracy, good footwork, headmovement is getting better he's got it all and in a year or two with the help of Roach he will be a complete fighter). His chin is suspect but he got a heart of lion. Oh yeah and ehm... he is just ****ing 22 !! He's just at the start of his carreer.

I think you have a skewered impression of British people based on the people who get drunk and attend Ricky Hatton fights.

He doesn't. The people who went to see the Ricky Hatton and Floyd fight are a clear example of one of the countries leading problems.

The majority of Hatton's fans that went to America when he fought Floyd were your everyday, average male. The only difference being is they had a pint in their hand and all their mates around them.
