Will Dirrell Be Too Quick For Abraham?

abraham is on a different level too froch
dirrell will give him problems though with his speed and movement, but froch seemed too shake him when he landed a big shot (granted that wasnt very often)
i cant see abraham winning a decision, but i think he will catch him cold late on in the fightComment

Froch's workrate is much HIGHER than Abraham's, Froch likes to be aggressor. Abraham is only aggressive in spurts. Abraham won't knock Dirrell out because unlike Taylor, Dirrell won't stand in front you. Dirrell's movement will give Abraham loads of problems, I mean he literally runs away from his opponent.abraham is on a different level too froch

froch fights in slow motion and he still tagged dirrell plenty of times,if you think AA wont, you are kidding yourselfComment

Froch doesn't move in slow motion, his speed is the same as Abraham's. It's just that Froch has long arms, he keeps his hands down, and when an opponents tries to come close, he throws an upright jab. His jab sets up a lot of punches and he does counter-punch.Comment

I agree halfway with you. I believe the Dirrell fight could have went either way, and with him being the Champion, and in his hometown he was going to get the nod.. That's why almost no one had identical scorecards, because most rounds were just to close to call..
As far as Froch goes, I just don't think he will be on top for much longer. If Dirrell had a year or two more of experience he would have ate Froch alive. Froch is not on the same level as anyone left he has to fight IMO. I like the guy, but thats just how I feel.
As far as Abraham, I agree with most everyone's thought here. Abraham is faster then Froch, so the quickness won't really be an issue.. Although it can affect different fighters in different ways. In this case, I think Abraham does well against this type, and really truly believe when Dirrell is stepping out, one of those looping punches will connect and end the fight.
What Abraham has to worry about in my opinion is if Dirrell runs the whole fight, and tries to out point him. I think Abraham needs to presure him earlier then usual.
I can't really see Dirrell winning in any scenario as I think about it. No way will he KO him. Just won't happen. Running and outpointing will not work in Germany.. Sorry Dirrell. The only way too win for him is to stand in there and duke it out, which if that happens, I just don't see the fight lasting long.Comment

Quickness doesn't factor into an Abraham fight, the way he keeps tucked away in his turtle shell, he doesn't need reflexes.Im an avid Abraham fan, so let's get that out of the way..
This is my take on it.. I think Abraham's style allows him to sit back and take the punches, let the guys wear themselves down.. I heard a reporter say it's like his version of the rope-a-dope, and I completely agree, but he doesn't seem to get hit as much.
I think the faster the guy, the better it plays out for Abraham. I think Abraham, with his wide looping punches is more susceptible to being beat by a inside fighter, rather then a boxer. I love the guy, but I really just don't see how he hasn't hit the canvas yet. He really does have the jaw of a moose, because Miranda did catch him, and break his jaw.
I think the fight will play out a lot like the Taylor fight did, except I think Dirrell will keep it closer on the cards with his step-in body shots. I think Abraham can't wait as long as he usually does to get aggressive. Dirrell could very well turn it into a jab fest to the body, and win rounds when Abraham is being agressive.
Overall, i think Dirrell will see how tough this guy is, and get a little flustered. I think starting at about the 5th rd, Abraham turns up the heat and batters him a little bit. I have a lot of respect for Dirrell after the Froch fight, so I hope he doen't get knocked out, but I see a ko coming. I truly believe Abraham is on another level then Froch. Froch seems really over hyped to me.
The question is can Dirrell split Abrahams gaurd, if you can't do that, you aren't going to get much done with him.
If Dirrell ends up making Abraham come forward, he can win, but Abraham isn't a come forward fighter, and when he is, he is quite vulnerable.Comment
