The fight wont be easy but I think Ward has what it takes to pull it off. Ward has more to gain from the victory, more money, prestige, etc. Kessler is already established and really didnt have to take part in the tournament. I think Ward will use his motivation to get a UD.

Kessler needs a knockout in Oakland most likely.

          but about the k.o.

          miranda couldnt, kessler isnt.
Miranda is damaged goods after brutal KOs by Pavlik and Abraham.

But if Ward holds as much as he did in the Miranda fight, you're probably right.

He is going to hold on for dear-life, and he is not going to be dq'd for it and Kessler is going to lose his belt to a clincher.

Then beating him should do about as much for Kessler's ledger as Perdomo?

I don't think so. Ward has really impressed me in his last few fights but he got tagged a bit by a fading Miranda. Kessler will do the same. Then again, I don't expect Ward to stay on the inside like he did against Miranda.

Ward has all the skills, perhaps moreso than anyone in the tourney. He's also got an extensive amateur background and been moved along well. I like his heart too, maybe not so much his chin. But at this stage, I don't believe he's ready for a seasoned champ like Kessler.

i think ward is skilled enough to hang with kessler, if he dont let his hands go like dirrell then hes in trouble.
