    remembering naseem hamed!

a great boxer during his prime.....

but because of his oftentimes viewed as ****y behaviour, he can be compared to a marmite, either you love him or you hate him.

Boxing badly needed someone like Naz at the time,
He brought young people to the sport with his Flashiness and Attitudem,
His style was one of a kind which made him fancisinating to watch!
ATG in my opinion I just wish his ****iness had never gotten to his head!
He would of KO'd Barerra if it hadnt

people who hated the prince during those times were ecstatic at what barrera did to him.... slammed him right to the corner post. most of those guys liked what barrera did not because they adore him but because they thought hamed deserved it....

Naseem Hamed was probably the flashiest featherweight boxer of all-time. Great power in his hands, too.

Naseem Hamed had his flaws as a boxer but barrera picked up on them at the worst period in Hameds professional career as an athlete.Anybody who claims that Hamed was at his peak against barrera has obviously never followed/blatantly ignorant of his career and his decline as a fighter over the last three years, leading up to barrera.

It all ended when he beat Kelly in the most significent fight of his career, this fight wasn't the most significent fight of his career because Kelley was the greatest fighter he had fought up to then, hell no,Kelley was never a greater fighter than Tom Johnson(whom Hamed took out inside of eight rounds),the fight staged Hamed's entrance into the big time, the united states of america, where hbo signed him to a very lucrative deal and promoted the **** out of his debut,Hamed won and it all ended there,he was set up for life and was a multi millionaire with no time or training or putting in the time to continue developing himself as a fighter.

His long time trainer brendan Ingle publicly lambasted Hamed and his attitude, which eventually led to their split,Ingle the only man who understood Hamed's style predicted that Hamed would eventually meet his undoing and he did.

Let's not ignore barrera's growth as a fighter either,he literally grew significently in mass after his exposure by Junior Jones,he continued fighting at 122 ut looked to be at around the size of a lightweight.I am not accusing barrera of "enhancing his performances" via illegal methods, but the stench is most definately there and we can only speculate.

Without question,Marco's finest moment in a ring.
