Yeah I never saw that fight, but I just looked at the boxrec statistics on it and it seems Jones Jr was loosing that fight on 2 of the 3 judges scorecards by 2 rounds. 75- 77 Montell

the first griffin fight was definetly his toughest, alot of people say griffin was on his way to getting ko'd anyway but he was still very much in the fight.
harding was'nt very effective, he just stopped jones from being as effective as he usualy was. then harding quit like a little ***** cause his shoulder hurt

Yeah, I heard Griffin outlanded him. I never saw the fight or knew why he got DQ'd, but my Uncle did tell me he had hit the guy while he was down and the ref called the fight off. What did he do, punch him while he was on the floor?

                hmm

Yeah Griffin was down when Roy hit him and I think initially it was ruled a KO and then they changed it.

In any case, Montell Griffin was a very good fighter in those days and his style was so awkward...that's why he beat James Toney twice.

The Harding fight posed some problems but Roy didn't look in very good shape for that fight either. Normally he is in great shape but you can tell just by loking at his body in that fight that he was not.
