    Great news-Pacquiao-Cotto PPV discount.

Fight fans in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington, should be on the lookout for Tecate Beer’s $25 mail-in discount coupon for the blockbuster November 14 pay-per-view clash between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto. The offer, which requires the purchase of an 18-pack of Tecate or Tecate Light, will cut a substantial chunk off of the suggested PPV price of $54.95. Tecate is also selling a commemorative 24 oz can featuring Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto.

    Gee,

When "Numero Uno" announced a Tecate promotion, this board was saying that it was because sales were poor.

I think I'll take advantage of the discount though I don't drink Tecate. Nice break for you guys for getting fight at no charge considering your charged and taxed for everything else.

Yes, Tecate is a Mexican beer. Its not bad on a hot day but its not my preference when it comes to Mexican beers or lagers. Hey what did the English press think of the Froch fight ?

                Gee,

Why do you always have to bring pbf on this? It seems you always like to discuss sales/business rather than the sport itself. Just my opinion.

Tecate offers the rebate for every PPV event it sponsors.

That said, the language of it bothers me, and I said the same for Mayweather-Marquez. It specifies a discount off of the suggested retail price of $54.95, yet both events were/are priced at $49.95.

I honestly don't know of anyone who's ever benefited from the rebate. It almost reads like a scam to be honest.

It was broken down somewhere else where Tecate offered another discount for buying x amount of snacks, only you had to spend something like $100 and only on snacks approved by the terms of the rebate (and not your every day snacks you find in any given super market).

Anyway, fans who were suggesting what you claim obviously don't know the history of Tecate's rebate offer. That said, you seem like a better fan/poster than to catch feelings over such nonsense.

I understand your skepticism and I had my own after going to about 10 different stores including various Latino markets trying to find a rebate without any luck. I did end up finding and purchasing one on eBay for about $2 shipped. Anyway, I was worried because I believe the rebate said $49.95 and the actual event (DLH-Pac I believe it was) cost me $54.95 or $59.95...can't remember which but I figured that this might be a sneaky way to disqualify me from the offer. I went ahead and sent it in and I did get the rebate in the mail weeks later.

Here is a printable rebate for Cotto-Pacquiao for those interested. Don't waste your time looking in stores for one:
