no not the same thing. I don't have to be there to know what went on, because I already know by the way Cotto worded it. Basically sparring partners are there to give you certain looks based on the opponent you are facing. Yeah he was doing a good job of imitating Pac with lateral movement, but Pac doesnt fight with his hands down and clown around in the ring. Cotto could have still busted his ass up, but the frustration came from frankie not doing a good Manny impersonation.

I have had guys come in and give me scouting looks of potential opponents. Nothing is more frustrating than a guy that tries to take advantage of that opportunity by trying to show case his skills, instead of doing his job, which is to emulate your next opponent.

"Sources say that at times, Cotto looked extremely frustrated during their sparring sessions, having a difficult time with the movement that Figueroa was presenting as he tried to emulate Manny Pacquiao."

Maybe Freddie caught wind of this and it's why he is requesting automatic deduction for low blows. Roach was fully aware of Hatton's sub-par performance during training camp despite 24/7's perspective on it. I think he even said, "We have our sources." Then again, it could also be from how well Manny's style is performing against Miguel's emulations?

              Gato is a self-promoter....in a good way. But still a self-promoter.

Everybody knows that, and Miguel should not have been surprised. I believe that Gato was a handful for Miguel.

if that is true, cotto is in for a long as **** night. cotto needs to cut off the ring and impose his size advantage and beat on pac's body... otherwise he's ****ed.

Cotto more than likely could but the point of sparring is to prepare for pacquiao not work on beating up Gato.

I was more out of fustration of your sparring partner not doing what he was paid to do. He was basically not given any good looks, wasting cotto's time and basically stealing team cotto's money by not doing there job.

It's not a hard concept to figure out as to why Figuero was booted. Since when has many ever danced around with his hands down showboating. Why waste valuable sparring time when you can put in some real work to prepare you for your future opponent.
