what kind of ****** question is this?
Between Miguel Cotto and Floyd Mayweather Jr. , who fought the tougher competition

Topic title fooled me.... I voted too soon.... I'd pick cotto on overall opponents, but thats my opinion others might think differently.Comment

Mayweather has been in the ring with better competition, but being in the ring with them and running around in circles doesn't mean he's actually fought them. Most of the time Floyd just runs until his opponents tire and then he jumps on them when they have nothing left after chasing him round after round. He hasn't stood in front of anyone since knocking out Zab Judah a few years back.

This question is pointless.
Cotto only ever had one fight at 135 where Mayweather fought at 135 for about a year (2002-2003) and also fought there a few times early in his career.
The thread regarding who had a better welterweight resume between Mayweather and Cotto made sense being as Mayweather has fought at 147 since 2005 and Cotto since 2006 and have been top fighters at that weight.Comment
