A "must read" on Najai Turpin

I also want you guys to listen to how this guy said that Najai used to sleep because maxboxing also has a article on there where it had a fighter on the contender that said that Najai always slept in the closet with a knife and everyone was like what the **** and he used to say that this is how he sleeps at home and that crack heads used to break in his house all the time.

This is truly a sad story and I feel really bad for this kid and his family. It was also reported on maxboxing that he may have shot himself over a custody dispute with his girl over his daughter so I dont know how much you can put on the contender and we will never really know why he did it but I do think it had some to do with the show and may he rest in piece

Man this dude had some serious issues that he was forced to deal with in his short time on this earth, and my heart definately goes out to his daughter and hopefully people send money to the trust fund that the contender set up for her, because she will be fighting the same demons that her daddy fought and eventually lost to.

I don't think there can be any question that the kid was mentally unstable, just judging from the talk with the "den mother" on Contender. Still, when someone offs themselves like he did, I have a hard time finding sympathy for them. I'm just glad he didn't decide to take his girlfriend and daughter with him.

          Stickman,

Why do you have a hard time finding sympathy for someone who has committed suicide?

Because it shows a distinctly weak mind. I'm not saying everyone should have the mental fortitude of a monk, but when someone chooses to eat a bullet, knowing they're leaving a young child without a father, I just can't feel bad for their death. I feel bad for the fatherless child of course, but not the turd who offed himself. I'll probably catch alot of **** because of this reply, but I refuse to alter my opinion just to be popular.

I doubt he was thinking rationally at the time. People have those moments where they have no sense of rational thought. Had he not had a gun with him and had time to realize what he was doing, I doubt he would have shot himself. Just goes to show you how a woman can really screw up your mind...I mean he lived in hell all his life and an argument with a girlfriend may have caused him to end it all. Sometimes dealing with a wife/gf/ex is harder than living in the hood, sleeping in a closet with a knife in your hand.

We all should feel sorry for him. Dont give me that **** about how he shouldnt have did something. Some people feel alot of pain and at times it gets over bearing. He even said before the fight that he is going to make the guy feel the pain that he feels. I know someone who had done this. You never know what can drive you over the edge. Dont never judge another person if you havent walked in there shoes. Do you think he didnt care about his daughter? He loved her more then anything in the world
