Ridiculous statement.
Just because his last fight was controversial? He beat Pascal for the title, who's shown his capabilities at 175 by becoming WBC Champ.
First defence against Taylor in the US. Knocks him out in the last round, then beats Dirrell, a much more skilled individual then Froch, albeit in very controversial fashion (i had Dirrell win by 2 rounds), and you want to call him a crap champion?
The man has publicly called out the top names at 168, and yes he will likely get beat by Kessler in his next fight, but i can think of many worse champs right now. If you hate a guy with the balls and heart of Froch, then i don't know what else there is to say. So you're not a fan, fair enough, but crap champion? I'd rather him prove himself consistently against top names then face meaningless mandatories.
