Denis Boytsov Wants a Crack at Nikolai Valuev's Title

Russian heavyweight prospect Denis Boytsov, 23, has decided to pursue another opponent while waiting for his shot at a major title. The WBA's Inter-Continental champion (26-0, 21 KO) wants to take away the champion’s belt from his compatriot Nikolai Valuev. [details]

    Suggestion

On one schedule John Ruiz was on the undercard of Valuev v. Haye. If that is true Boystov should jump on that. It would boost PPV buys here in USA for hope of seeing Ruiz decomissioned once and for all.

Looks like Boytsov doesn't fancy Haye's chances against Valuev?

It's time the WBA put Boytsov into a final eliminator. *****ko was WBA #4 when Denis stopped him.

Boytsov should be able to beat Valuev but I don't think he really wants to get into the mandatory "mix" with Ruiz and Valuev. He will be fighting both of them two or three times in that case.

How do we know how Haye is good as an HW??

He only has beaten two tomato cans in this division,an unknown polish, nice 1st round KO by the way,and Tomonte Barrett, and Haye still managed to get barely dropped by a barrett Rabbit punch....
As far as Valuev is a fraud who is collectin gift decisions and boring fights, why should I bet on David??

Maybe he can beat Valuev, maybe he can beat a Klit with his fast and powerfull punches, but one thing is sure,he will never last in the big men division with his cruiser glass jaw....

Tua would knock him out for sure!

Good post. Valuev might be a boring and slow heavyweight but he is at least more proven than Haye, who is a chinny cruiserweight without chin, stamina and defense.

If Haye cant bomb Valuev out, which he cant then i dont know how he can win

Boytsov talks a good game but he has never beaten anybody with a heart beat, everbody he has faced has had a big time losing record. Don't think he is very good but we won't find out for sure till he takes on a good soild HW, without a losing record.
