Joval has never been knocked out but I thinks it's due to happen. His previous opponent Sam Soliman was not known for his power, but was still able to floor Joval a few times early in their rematch.Joval was out on his feet many times and lost every single round against Soliman. That fight showed that Joval is clearly a washed up fighter.

I expect Vargas to walk through Joval and KO him within 4rds.

Yeah Soloman made Joval look like a fool, If Fernando can't tear through him fairly easily it will be obvious hes a shot fighter.

I'd imagine Joval is just a tune-up fight. I understand that Trinidad came back after a long layover to fight a tough opponent, but the difference remains that Vargas went through rehab for a serious and legitimate back injury prior to returning. That sort of thing changes a lot.

I think he's making a smart decision by coming back to an easy fight before jumping into the ocean and seeing if he can swim with the big fish. There's no rush, he's still young.

I absolutely despise it when people, in a pure act of ignorance, say that a fighter sucks despite his accomplishments. Fernando Vargas may have lost to Felix Trinidad and Oscar De La Hoya, but since when does this make you suck? Trinidad and DLH are two of the most respected athletes in the sport right now.

Vargas is a talented fighter with good reflexes, powerful punches, and indomitable heart. Give him some credit for god sakes.

Yep, yep. I'm looking forward to seeing how he performs after his come back. Though it's impossible not to see that the odds are against any athlete who comes out of retirement.
