Daniel is in the big game of boxing, credit to him. But, like every champion or top fighter, he can choose some not very risky fights in between the big ones, especially when Usyk, holding all the other titles, can wank around with a kickboxer.
WBO Heavyweight ranking by April 2026 (May is not available yet)After Saturday evening, I don't know where Fabio will be placed - Dubois gets the champion title, Itauma and Hrgovic keep their places, so Wardley goes 3rd at least, maybe lower. Referring to my text above, Dubois can choose anyone. Still, the least probable choices are the ones he already beat, I think: Hrgovic, "The Sausage", who will not accept anyway, and maybe Wardley, because of the rematch clause he can activate. It will be a decision to respect, but Itauma makes most sense according to rankings. I am fine to see Dubois against Zhang, Jalolov, Wilder, Riakporhe, but whoever he chooses, even if not in the WBO rankings, it's his right.CHAMPION Fabio Wardley 1 Moses Itauma (Int-Cont) 2 Filip Hrgovic (WBO International) 3 Daniel Dubois 4 Anthony Joshua 5 Zhilei Zhang 6 Jared Anderson 7 Deontay Wilder 8 Bakhodir Jalolov 9 Richard Torrez, Jr 10 Viktor Vykhryst (WBO Europe) 11 Nelson Hysa (WBO Global) 12 Richard Riakporhe 13 Solomon Dacres 14 Gustavo Trujillo (Latino) 15 Brandon Moore Comment

In a way, it is so. But a boxer should always have the right to agree or disagree with his manager. But many boxers are in the wrong position where it isn't them dictating the manager, but the opposite.Comment

I don't think Dubois has enough sentience to care who he fights, Warren just points at the opponent and tells him to hulk smashComment

Havent been paying attention to Boxing but I saw this new guy named Itauma, whose a southpaw, that has potential. But he needs to be tested.
Dubois probably wants the big fights only but if he can
fight Itauma somehow, that’ll be great.Comment
