Would moving up and down in weight classes affect David Benavidez?

The guy just made his 200lb debut and is now looking to go back down to 175lb for other notable fighters (Bivol). Even crazier, he said that he would drop down to 168lb for Canelo (a weight he hasn't made in 3 years).

Will transitioning up and down in weight classes have an impact and toll on his body? The man is a big unit himself already. Why not stay the **** at 200lb?

    He is fat at cruiserweight.

I want to see Bivol beat him at 175. It can happen in 2027.

Idk. It's an intriguing match-up. We will see how Bivol performs in his upcoming match to see if he has any rust. If he still has the goody goods of the footwork, he should be able to manage against Benavidez

where did Fat Dave say he could fight again at 168

he’s now a fit walking weight of 210

he can fight at 175 again as long as he goes there in his next fight

stay at cruiser for 2 in a row and he stuck there imo

Post-fight interview, dude? He said he wants the Canelo fight. I have huge doubts Canelo would move up to 175lb to fight him.

this version of Saul Santos who knees nearly folded by TBud in the final 10 seconds

Would get stopped by Fat Dave fast flurries in the pocket

lacks the foot movement to stay out of the line of fire

Yup. I can also see why he avoided Benavidez a few years ago, too. That Bivol loss also kinda demolished his confidence. Realising "size and weight" does matter in Boxing.

I also think Benavidez is a weight bully. Dude is too huge to be at 168lb (he last fought there in 2023). He fits in 175lb/200lb.
