Just burn some .avi files to DVD-R, they should play fine and in good quality on his DVD/TV.
I've never done that before but I would try if my CD/DVD drive wasn't jammed shut on my laptop. I think HBO were missing out on $$$ by not selling them, I reckon a lot of people would like to have them, some are classic viewing.
What's the quality like when you put it on widescreen tv?
Damn good on all the ones I've download and burned (Mayweather-DLH, Mayweather-Hatton, Pacquiao-DLH, Pacquiao-Hatton), as if you were watching them debut on TV.
A 700mb .avi file played on a 40" screen is usually good enough quality.
You can buy DVD players for £20-30 from places like amazon that play .avi files.
I download .avi files and burn several films to DVD's to watch on my TV.

You can do this with a lot of recent fights, too, being that they're digitally sourced (even a lot of the VHS rips of old fights mostly range from excellent to passable).
