Can’t sleep on Zurdo especially when he’s the one who’s been up at crusierweight and put on 3 solid wins against Goulamirian,Billiam-smith and Doritcos who were all either champion or former champions. Imo it’s just how David looks in terms of carrying this extra weight because it’s a big jump up and Zurdo is someone who is durable and who can bring the heat in the fight, so gotta see how his engine and his hand speed is gonna look at 200lbs

Agree. David looks to be a much better fighter overall, but he didn’t look big at light heavyweight (chubby even), an Zurdo is a big, big boi.

Agree with both comments above. Benavidez is an underrated boxer with a lot of skills and also underrated defense. However Zurdo is much much bigger. Benavidez at 175 was not a big Light Heavy and at Cruiser he dont need to cut any weight and can even come in more out of shape than usual. Benavidez is also no 6'3 like some people claim. I guess he is 6'1 he is even sometimes listed as 6'0. He was clearly shorter than Gvodzyk who is 6'2 and he was the same height as Plant and Morrell who both 6 - 6'1. Zurdo is legit 6'4 and naturally bigger not only taller.

Fighting a bigger men can wear you down physically and psycologically especially if you cant hurt him and he can stay calm and relax not feeling any danger. If Benavidez does not pace himself and tries to unleash on Zurdo early on it could be interesting if Benavidez gasses out without wearing Zurdo down. I pick Benavidez but it will be a tough test
