Hello.
I've noticed the hot topic this week, of course, is Morales/Pacquiao.
Gotta say, that fight was awesome. No matter where you're from, Mexico or the Philippines (where I'm from), that was one of the best fights I've seen in a long time. Arce/Hussien was more intense, IMO.
But going into the fight, I had a feeling Pacman's inability to tie up a fighter (like in the JMM match) and his awkward style of skipping away from his opponent looks rather ameteurish. JMM won that fight because he took the fight to Pacman. Pac doesn't fight going backwards and will keep going back until the fighter stops persuing. That's what happened with Morales. Morales would let Pac do his combo, and Morales would retaliate with a much more determined assualt.
Pacman needs to learn inside fighting, needs to learn how to tie up his opponent from retaliating (but please, NOT LIKE JOHN RUIZ!) and smother his punches. Basically, he needs to add a new dimension, as many of you have stated countless times I've read. Yeah, I've been lurking.
I had money on Morales to win, BTW.
I had my doubts about Manny in this fight. Sorry, to my fellow Filipinos. But you gotta admit, Pacman needs to learn a few more tricks. This ain't a street fight.
