Comments Thread For: Inside Junto Nakatani?s planned takedown of Naoya Inoue
The respectful, humble approach from Junto Nakatani is profound by comparison to some prizefights, but make no mistake about his immense pursuit of victory over Naoya Inoue.

I can't wait for this great style match-up. Both are great technical boxers with great power and determination and above all great sportsmanship.
this fight can not go wrong this is one where nobody has to worry about someone not showing up. it is rare in boxing these days but it is true to the point on this one. And yet there are people out there in the world who do not know these two fighters but still talk about Money May or Pac Man as being still in there prime or even relivant anymore, Not there fault but it is the fault of boxing to have perfected the art of how to make fights and fighter more accessable and knowable. But that is a topic for another day huh ?
Close rounds will go to Inoue, I think Inoue wins this on points, obviously junto has a chance of winning, but I think he has to win by stoppage.
Inoue has a lot of body to aim for, I suspect he will target the body with intensity from the first round.
True Monster has been caught before esp early if i remember correct, and if that happens early in a round it could really make it interesting. This will not be a dance party that if for sure but there will be movement and a plan...................... Wish it was still on ESPN Plus like most or many of his other fights were. But that is the platform game again these days. Early A. M. fight card ............
This is the best fight of 2026 - the only fight that could come match it for me would be if Usyk agreed to take on Itauma - and that would be because of the intrigue - but it'd be very exiting. THIS matchup is just an extremely skilled boxer puncher matchup with 2 P4P fighters in their prime. I think Inoue boxes to a decision but it won't go all his own way.
