Bolo is not spanish homie. Get educated. Read on the internet where it is from you got a computer. Learn before you speak. Ceferino Garcia the middleweight champ credited for inventing it was Filipino not spanish.

            \ B O L O Knife
This handmade tool is a vital necessity in the Philippines. It can be used to help clear the land (by chopping back vegetation).
It can be useful in gardening / planting. It is also useful in killing pigs, chickens, cows.
Our bolo knives are made by hand in the province of Ilocos SUR AND BATANGAS
The blades are madE from recycled steel and the handle is made from Carabao horn.
The Knives are 18 to 20 inch in length (tip of handle to tip of blade)

A bolo is a large cutting tool similar to the machete, used particularly in the jungles of Indonesia, the Philippines, and in the sugar fields of Cuba. The primary use for the bolo is clearing vegetation, whether for agriculture or during trail blazing.
What country controlled the Philapines and Cuba until the early 20th century?

The spanish likely got the term Bolo from the Philippines. Next thing you will tell me is that the Manila Mangos sold in Mexico originated in spain too.
