I had to actually look twice, to read that this is a fight for the WBC world title. What? A famous kickboxer gets a world heavyweight title shot in his second fight? Okay, we're in that new world now.

So, Usyk is writing his own script. He beat Fury twice and Fury beat the best HW the UFC had. Only thing left is the best and most accomplished HW kickboxer. Once he beats Verhoeven, no arguments left to dispute the fact that Usyk is the baddest active fighter on the planet.

Yes, in North America, few know anything about kickboxing, but that's not Usyk's problem. He's not here to educate people. He has zero obligation to explain himself to clueless people, but he's a gentleman so he tried to appease those who just don't get it.

IMHO, this is way better than executing Wilder in the ring.
best fighter by boxing everyone? any top mma heavyweight would beat usyk if he tried mma. they are different things.

Usyk went life and death with Fury and Joshua twice. Lets see if he can beat Kabayel.

            Exactly

I find it amusing that some people think that Usyk dominated the heavyweight division
He went to split decision twice vs Fury & Joshua

Since when has split dec = domination?

The best opponent on his resume is Fury.
Yet many ppl think Fury lost to Ngannou (as novice boxer). Fury won via split decision vs a novice boxer?

I find the HW division to be overrated, as one of the weakest of any era
Fury has a larger than life character, and is good at PR

Waste of everyone's time! Kayabel is at least 1,000 more deserving of that time space against Usyk than a damn kickboxer! Every contender should be getting a crack at Usyk long before this guy! Fking mockery of boxing. Respect and admiration for Usyk for years just flew out the window!

You could qoute his whole post because it's full of crazy statements but it's that next level st*pid that it must be a troll comment. No one on earth can really be that brain dead.

Telling us people don't get it (meaning the fight and why it is happening what it means). There is nothing to understand. It's a horrible horrible mismatch that Usyk gladly excepts since it's a whole lot of money for no risk. He is fighting a feather fisted Kickboxer with a KO percentage of 30 percent who is used to max 5 rounds fights. And by having that fight he is tarnishing boxing to not say his legacy because i understand money means more for most people but he still damages the sport with that ish. Having the belt on the line is just the cherry
