Even though Chavez would get hit alot the way he cut off the ring, places punches to the body and head through the gaps was very skillful, just in a totally different way fighters like Floyd are skilled. I personally don't believe in superior styles like Andre Ward was groaning on about doing commentary bitter because he was never a big money superstar.
