Wilder needs to rematch Parker or Zhang

That will be the test of if he's "back" or not and deserves a bigger fight than one of them.

'Deserves' doesn't play a big part in boxing. Particularly in big fights where money is king.

By looking ordinary, though clearly the victor over Chisora, Wilder has probably done himself more favours than if he'd Koed Chisora in emphatic style.

Hearn and Joshua liked the look of what they saw. So much so, if you can believe Hearn, they want Wilder next.

'So for us, we'll have the warmup fight against Wilder, and then we'll fight Tyson Fury, and we're ready to sign for both' - Eddie Hearn post Wilder-Chisora.

      too risky

wilder is still a big name and he wants other big names at his stage im sure

the 3 of the old guard are all in that boat it seems

not good enough to compete at the top level in the division but still have enough to generate interest fighting each other

Behind closed doors, Hearn will likely be telling Joshua that Wilder is too risky. Even though most might disagree.

Still think they will go with the easiest to beat opponent they think they can get away with. Not long back that was going to be Cassius Chaney.

A cherry pick of Wilder seems about par for the course for the bravery of Matchroom when it comes to Joshua. I swear when Joshua was approached by Wilder and an exhausted Wilder whispered " Let's do this" Joshua got bug eyed like it was prime Wilder confronting him.

Any resistance and Joshua will fold but Wilder should be soft enough for Joshua now...

Hearn has already stated that he believes AJ will KO Wilder in 3. That's not all that far fetched to be honest.

If I was Wilder though, facing AJ would probably bring him the most money without requiring a 4th fight that nobody wants to see vs Fury. At Wilder's age, I can't think of a better cash out than facing AJ now.

I wouldn't see Wilder beating Zhang or Parker to be honest. Parker has youth and technical ability on his side still and Zhang is a slightly better version technically of Chisora and Chisora gave Wilder all he could handle at this stage. There is no need to just get beat up again by either of those two for a lesser paycheck.
